Blood Raven Dreadnought
2nd to last of the Refurbishments! This time it's the Black Reach Dreadnought - one of my first models! Here is the before pictures I showed previously...
I stripped down both the Dreadnought and the Librarian here for my final two refurbs. I'm leaving the Captain the way he is to remind me where I came from. That being said - I highly recommend using "LA's Totally Awesome" all purpose cleaner. You can find it in most Dollar Tree stores or Amazon. Super cheap and not nearly as toxic as "Simple Green". Also, LA's doesn't melt plastic like Simple Green will. Just FYI ;)
That being said, took awhile but liked this rendition of the DoW II BR Dreadnought:
Using this as my base template - The traditional Davion Thule Dread came out looking like this:

Blood Raven Predator Destructor Tank
PART 1: 2nd from the last model for the refurbishment project. Finally got around to repairing all my sponsons and remagnetized them as well. Give a quick walkthrough on the next post. This paint scheme came directly from the newer DoW III. So! Here is the refurbed Predator Destructor, aka "Dakka Pred".:
Part #2 should be along shortly with the Predator Annihilator (Twin-Linked Lascannon) main turret and Lascannon Sponsons. Stay tuned!

Blood Raven Land Raider Crusader
Part 3: The Crusader... FINALLY!!! The bugger is done! long project, but the results speak for themselves. Should be a nice shiny edition again to pull aggro of my scouts long enough now. ;)
Without further adieu...
Without further adieu...
Next up is a refurbished Magnetized Predator. Both Annihilator(Twin Lascannons) and Destructor (Auto-cannon) Patterns with heavy Bolters and/or Lascannon sponsons...

Blood Raven Land Raider Redeemer
And the refurbishment project continues! This was my first landraider, but had to remod the doors to allow for the magnetization. By far - the landraider model is the EASIEST to magnetize. This paint scheme is off of Dawn of War II: Retribution. The Redeemer is the first example I'll be posting. I will also include the standard lascannon and the crusader variants as well. Here is the final product:
To simply magnetize you'll need the three things:
- Evergreen Scale Models brand item #166: .080 X .125 Plastic Styrene Strips
- K&J Magnetics Neodymium Magnets, Grade N42: Disc, 11/16" X 1/32"
- Super Glue
Cut the Styrene strips and fit them into the gaps in the hatch. Leave the strips a little longer then the doorway opening. You can easily bend them and snap them into place. Once you get those two strips in - single dot of super glue in the center of each strip. Place the Disc Magnet over top of both of the strips. Wait at least 15 minutes before moving your landraider, just to be safe... Refer to Picture #2 below for the look and magnet placement.

Blood Raven Primaris Captain in Gravis Armor
Finally! All of the Dark Imperium collection is now wrapped up. The final piece is the captain. Still have so many models to paint for my Blood Raven's collection. I've recently added a lot to my Thousand Sons collection, so start expecting to see them to pop into the rotation soon. And here is the Captain now...
