Thousand Sons Rubric Marines & more WIP

It's Begun!  Finally able to post some of the work I've been doing.  Still for the most part is work in progress, but this is where I'm at so far.  I've finally finished the old school 10 man rubric (added the reaper cannon marine to go from the old 9 man squad to the new 10 man set-up).  Also, debuting the first completed Scarab Occult Terminator and a new WIP up-armor TS rhino construct.  I found a non-metal metal example I based the design on.  My twist - making the front Eye of Magnus to be Ticzan Marble from the Pyramids.  Challenge accepted! Flyrant / Tyranids Commission part 2.

Finally was able to finish up the HQ.  I must say - this has been one of the more challenging models to Magnetize along with my Dreadknight.  Dreadknight is still the toughest model to date, but this one comes in a close 2nd.  Anyways - the finished Flyrant and my friends additional scouts that were along with in the box.

Tyranid Alien theme paint scheme - WIP

So, one of my friend recently have a VERY tough 2016.  The loss of a very dear loved one and also welcome the birth of his first child!  With everything that has been going on, he has yet to make it back to the 40K in LONG time.  So, I took it upon myself to surprise him with a newly painted Tyranid Army!  Tricky part was getting the look right.  Going off of the toys we grew up, also using the later fan-art and trailer depictions - the Aliens had different color "hues".  Between the predominant blue, green, and even the Red from the ambient lighting - this is what inspired the current scheme you see down below.  In regular to low light, the color take a more transparent to blackened look vs. the full lighting you see in the photos.  Capture the full depth of the color was much trickier then taking the SM pictures we have up to this point.  If anyone wants the color scheme - please let me know and I'll post how I made them this way.  Enjoy!
