Tyranid Alien theme paint scheme - WIP

So, one of my friend recently have a VERY tough 2016.  The loss of a very dear loved one and also welcome the birth of his first child!  With everything that has been going on, he has yet to make it back to the 40K in LONG time.  So, I took it upon myself to surprise him with a newly painted Tyranid Army!  Tricky part was getting the look right.  Going off of the toys we grew up, also using the later fan-art and trailer depictions - the Aliens had different color "hues".  Between the predominant blue, green, and even the Red from the ambient lighting - this is what inspired the current scheme you see down below.  In regular to low light, the color take a more transparent to blackened look vs. the full lighting you see in the photos.  Capture the full depth of the color was much trickier then taking the SM pictures we have up to this point.  If anyone wants the color scheme - please let me know and I'll post how I made them this way.  Enjoy!

Blood Raven command sqaud w/ Librarian on bikes

After playing a friend's Ravenwing - was really impressed with the flexibility and HQ hunting set-up he had.  Throw a dash of Psyker into the mix and it gets REALLY interesting.  Hence, this set-up of 4 veterans, an Apothecary, and a Deathwatch Themed Librarian.  Again, another 8 months in the making...

Blood Raven Centurions Completed!!

Finally got these guys done... 8 months later.  But they're looking great on the table.  Can't wait to field them.  Fully Magnetized and Mod-able. 6 in total, but kept the photo's for the 3 and 5 set-up.  Can be made into both Devastator/Assault Centurion load-outs.

Thousand Sons WIP

These models are the start of the new Thousand Son's my friends and family have been gifting me over the years.  These are the two tests for color scheme.  

Working on these guys on top of the Blood Ravens AND the Grey Knights.  Just a little break from all the RED!!!
